Rochester Heart Ball raises funds to fight heart disease and strokes
Rochester, New York – On Saturday night, community leaders gathered for the annual Rochester Heart Ball.
In order to raise funds and awareness to fight heart disease and strokes, medical professionals, business leaders, and donors joined together in person.
More than $270,000 were raised at the American Heart Association event, held at Oak Hill Country Club.
The money will be used to benefit the Rochester area through youth programs, worksite wellness initiatives, healthcare quality, and continuing medical research. Erich Postler, co-chairman of the Heart Ball, thanked the people of Rochester for their continued support.
“It’s extremely inspiring to see the outpouring of community support first hand, and eye-opening to be reminded just how many people are affected by heart disease and stroke in some way.,” said Postler.
Tom Judson, chairman of The Pike Companies, LTD., received the Dr. Arthur J. Moss Leadership Award for his work supporting the American Heart Association and other non-profits.
