Rochester community comes together to pray and stop the use of guns
Rochester, New York – On Sunday, Rochester residents gathered at the New Progressive Cathedral Church Of God In Christ to pray in response to the city’s ongoing problem with gun violence.
The goal of the evening was to bring the community together via music, talks, and cries for change.
Most recently, a local citizen named Bryan Harrell Sr., 43 was fatally shot early on Saturday morning on Chili Avenue.
This was the 64th homicide to occur in the city in 2022.
Rochester has the fifth-highest homicide rate in the country in 2021 with 81 homicides.
