Police searching for man believed to be connected to Gates larcenies

GATES, N.Y. — Police are searching for a man who they say fled during a traffic stop after he and his car were connected to multiple larcenies.
Police say Billy Slater was in the parking lot of the Gates Town Hall when an officer recognized the vehicle as a vehicle that fled a traffic stop two days prior.
According to Gates Police, that traffic stop was initiated because they believed Slater and the vehicle were involved in several larcenies.
Investigators learned that Slater has a felony burglary warrant with Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
