Pennsylvania Man Faces Murder Charges After N. Clinton Ave. Shooting

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A Pennsylvania man is now charged with murder after a fatal shooting last Halloween.

Rochester police say Steven Berrios-Rivera, 26, shot David Alvarez, 33, 13 times on North Clinton Avenue after an alleged altercation over a car accident.

Police say both the victim and Berrios-Rivera did not know of each other.

Major crimes investigators executed a search warrant in York, Pennsylvania Wednesday and took Berrios-Rivera into custody.

Berrios-Rivera is currently being held in Pennsylvania and will be extradited back to Rochester at a later date.
