Ontario County schools change how it handles COVID exposures in schools
Ontario County, New York — The Ontario County Health Department has changed quarantine rules.
It will no longer require classroom contacts to quarantine if they are not experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, starting Wednesday.
Close contacts on buses and within 6 feet in lunchrooms will still be required to quarantine for 10 days.
Wednesday, students currently in quarantine due to exposure at school but not showing symptoms were allowed to return to school.
