One dead and four injured after boating accident in Yates County
Himrod, New York – Saturday one person is dead, and four others are injured after a boating accident in Yates County.
According to the Yates County Sheriff’s Office, they received a call about the accident just after 5 o’clock Saturday afternoon.
A speedboat was moving south on Seneca Lake at high speed, rolled over in the water after a sharp turn.
One person was died on the scene, while two others were airlifted to Strong Hospital.
At this time there is no information about their conditions.
Two others were also hurt in the accident.
The names of the victims have not yet been released.
