NYS and Greece Police are taking action against illicit cannabis sales

Greece, New York – The New York State Office of Cannabis Management (OCM) is assisting Greece Police in their efforts to combat illicit cannabis sales.
Greece Police and the OCM searched nine stores in Monroe County on Wednesday for illegal cannabis and padlocked them. According to an OCM spokeswoman, seven individuals who were detained in this instance are now prohibited from applying for a cannabis license in the future.
“We will use every enforcement tool at our disposal to stop you if we come and discover your functioning. The OCM spokeswoman stated, “There is no longer any way for them to clean up the act and try to operate legally if we show up and take action at this stage.”
Investigators raided nine stores, and now, there are signs on their doors.
The state agency said it intends to conduct more regular enforcement with other authorities following the success of this investigation in Greece.
According to the OCM, it has many officers who work in Western New York and go out once a week.
