New York to legalize mobile sports betting
New York – According to lawmakers a law that allows mobile sports betting recently passed, but it hasn’t begun yet.
The state is currently checking out third party apps to run the betting in the state, like Fan Duel and Draftkings.
Officials say the state opened bids up this month for the apps and the process will likely take months.
The license must be awarded no later than December 6, 2021.
If everything goes as planned, mobile sports betting should be running in time for the Super Bowl on February 6, 2022.
