New York could lose two seats in Congress

New York could be two congressional seats lighter following Census estimates, which were released on Monday.
Preliminary data from the Census that was completed this year shows that 126,000 people left New York between July 2019 and July 2020. It’s the single-largest reduction of any state.
New births and immigration into the state is not compensating for the fleeting population number.
