Mother of 5 killed in crash involving stolen car in Rochester
Rochester, New York – According to Rochester Police, a stolen vehicle that was speeding through the city on Sunday, struck and killed a woman in Rochester.
A 36-year-old, Tishara Pugh of Rochester, was in the driver’s seat when her car was struck at Seward and Whittlesey streets, the department says.
The mother of 5 was rushed to the hospital but died shortly after.
According to police, the passenger in the car, who has not been identified, was also transported to the hospital where he remains in critical, life-threatening condition.
Police say two of the four people in the stolen car, are still hospitalized. There has been no further information on their condition.
An officer spotted the stolen vehicle on Bartlett Street and that’s when it took off speeding before striking Pugh’s vehicle, according to investigators.
