Monroe County reported seven-day average of 142 new cases per day on Thursday

Rochester, New York — Monroe County Health Commissioner Dr. Michael Mendoza and County Executive Adam Bello provided a COVID update Thursday.
Monroe County reported 169 new cases and a seven-day average of 142 new cases per day on Thursday.
According to Dr. Mendoza, the days of providing booster shots “is drawing near” but getting people to get their first shot remains a priority.
Officials say 453,000 people in Monroe County have received at least one dose, while 485,000 have completed the series.
“The vast majority of our community has stepped forward and has done their part to end this pandemic,” Bello said.
