Man Arrested for Allegedly Striking Cuomo Aide in the Head With a Brick in Midtown
NEW YORK — A man was arrested early Friday for allegedly striking an aide to Gov. Andrew Cuomo in the back of the head with a brick on a Manhattan sidewalk.
Christopher Guzman, 28, approached Lisa Cavanaugh, 51, on Third Avenue near 47th Street in Midtown around 2:15 p.m. Thursday and attacked her, the city police department said.
She suffered deep cuts and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Guzman is charged with assault.
It was not known as of this writing if there was a motive to the attack.
