With Apple due to finally unveil its 2020 iPhone range this week, leaked details of what we might be able to expect have started circulating online.

This includes hints about which colours are due to be released with the iPhone 12along with the four storage options.

Berlin-based tech journalist Roland Quandt tweeted a tip-off based on information from ‘one retailer’, claiming the line would feature the iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone Pro 12 Max.

According to Quandt, the iPhone 12 Mini and iPhone 12 will be available in green, blue, gold, grey and silver, while the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone Pro 12 Max will reportedly come in grey, gold or silver.

The Mirror reports that this is slightly different to the information from previous leaks, which suggested the iPhone 12 Mini would be available in black, white, blue, red, yellow and coral, and that the iPhone 12 in black, white and silver.

While rumours sometimes turn out to be bang on the money, we won’t have any way of knowing for sure until Apple’s virtual event on Tuesday 13 October, which is being broadcast to UK tech fans at 6pm.

Apple held its annual September event last month, announcing its new Apple Watch and iPad models.

However, there was no word of the company’s plans for the iPhone; instead, it’s expected we’ll have news on that at Apple’s second event next week.

The main invite that’s been issued has the tagline ‘Hi, Speed’, which many believe is likely to refer to the A14 chip or 5G connectivity – or both, as they’re expected to feature in the new iPhones.

According to Sky News, the chip has been described by Apple as ‘by far the most advanced we’ve ever made’ with transistors so small they ‘challenge the laws of physics’, with about 11.8 billion packed into a single chip.

Apple said: “We’re talking about a scale so small, they’re measured in atoms.”
