In response to Biden withdrawing, Rochester supports Harris in his presidential bid
Rochester, New York – Following President Biden’s announcement on Sunday that he was withdrawing from the presidential campaign, Rochester residents responded.
After learning that President Biden had withdrawn from the run for reelection and endorsed Vice President Harris to succeed him, Sam Agronick stated he wasn’t shocked.
“I just heard about it about 20 minutes ago,” said Agronick. “I thought it was brewing for a couple of months,”
He declared he would vote for Kamala Harris over former President Donald Trump.
According to Luis Ortiz, he is more inclined to vote for Trump. He expressed his dissatisfaction with Harris’s alternatives on the Democratic side and expressed concern about his tenure as a prosecutor.
“It looks like he dropped out and he’s backing Kamala, which…I don’t know,” said Ortiz. “Which president is going to go in there and do what’s best for the minority community? That’s the only way I can come at it.”
Max Brown expressed his happiness with Harris’s potential for the upcoming presidency.
“I think she has a touch on the pulse of what’s going on,” said Brown.
Marcus Phillips expressed doubts about President Biden’s mental state to other people.
“You just can’t run a country with mumbling, stumbling, calling world leaders different names,” remarked Phillips.
When asked which candidate she would support, Mareasa Guidisei said she wasn’t sure.
“I’d like to see who she (Harris) selects to be her vice president,” said Guidisei.
“I think now I’m definitely leaning Republican,” said Phillips.
“I’m going Trump,” said Ortiz.
“If it’s Trump or Harris, I’m voting for Harris,” said Agronick.
