Head-On Crash on Lake Avenue Leaves 1 Dead on Thursday

Rochester, N.Y. – One person is dead after a crash on Lake Avenue in Rochester.
It happened shortly before 7:30 a.m. Thursday near the Grassmere Park intersection.
Police say a car traveling north on Lake Avenue crossed the center line and struck a van head-on.
The driver of the car was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital where they were pronounced dead.
The driver of the van was not hurt.
The deceased driver’s name has not been released and the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
