Greece Police have a new deputy chief
Greece, New York – On Tuesday currently a Rochester Police captain, Naser Zenelovic, was appointed to the position at the Greece Town Board meeting.
Zenelovic will work with Mike Wood, who was named chief last month. His official start date is Jan. 17.
“This is another important step to moving forward with our command staff at the Department,” Supervisor Bill Reilich said in a statement.
This comes after – Chief Drew Forsythe crashed his department-issued SUV. He was subsequently charged with driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of a property damage accident. Forsythe later pleaded guilty to driving while ability impaired and leaving the scene.
Zenelovic has over 27 years of law enforcement experience and has been an RPD captain for two years.
“We are eager to bring our new Chief Mike Wood and Deputy Chief Zenelovic on board,” Reilich said. “They both are men of impeccable character and have a desire to bring an even wider range of knowledge to what I believe is the best department anywhere around.”
