Florida teachers let daughter have sex with houseguest, sheriff says
VIERA, Fla. — Two Florida teachers are accused of allowing their underage daughter to have sex with a houseguest and letting other students smoke marijuana in their home.
The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office arrested James Brand, 50, and Amy O’Reilly-Brand, 45, on charges of child neglect and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Investigators received a complaint earlier this month that the Brands allowed their daughter to have ongoing sex with a man who lived in their home in Viera. Deputies said the Brands also smoked marijuana with students from the high school where they worked.
The Brands worked at Viera High School, but investigators found no evidence of any criminal activity at the school.
The Brands were held at the Brevard County Jail on a $12,500 bond.
