Fire in building on Lake Avenue, one person rescued
Rochester, New York – A multiple alarm fire occurred at Lake Avenue and Cliff Street Monday evening.
According to Rochester Fire Department, around 7 p.m. they responded to reports of heavy smoke and flames coming from the building where Nepali Food Market & Restaurant is.
Since the fire occurred on the second floor of the building, the business was not involved.
Officials say one man was rescued by ladder from the building with minor injuries and taken to the hospital.
The apartments involved in the fire were evacuated and the residents have been displaced.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
