Deputies search for suspect in stabbing incident in Perinton

Perinton, New York – The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in searching for a suspect in a stabbing at the “Pines of Perinton” on Balsam Lane.
They respond to a call around 8 pm Sunday for a man stabbed in the neck.
Until Perinton Ambulance crews arrived, deputies performed life-saving measures on the 58-year-old male victim.
The victim has been taken to Strong Hospital having serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
According to witnesses, the suspect fled the area on foot.
A search by the K9 unit did not turn anyone up. Deputies also searched about 80 apartments.
According to deputies, this was not a random incident and there is no threat to the public.
Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
