Coronavirus in Monroe County: 198 new cases confirmed, positivity rate grows to 2%
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Monroe County Department of Public Health announced 198 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 Saturday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 54,959.
As of Saturday, 2,360 cases are active. A total of 1,200 people have died from COVID-19-related causes in Monroe County.
The 7-day rolling average positivity rate for the county was 2.0%, and the 7-day rolling average of new cases was 156 as of Saturday..
As of Saturday, the Finger Lakes region’s COVID-19 dashboard showed 147 people in the region are hospitalized, including 33 in the ICU.
