City resident arrested for 65-year-old woman’s murder in September
Rochester, New York – On September 24, reports of a lady being discovered dead in an alley led Rochester police to Pearce Street.
When the police came, they discovered City resident Mary Simzer, 65, who had been the victim of a murder and a sexual assault. She was plainly dead.
Blunt force injuries to the head and neck region were the cause of death.
The investigation led to the identification of City resident Ronald Lagasse, 54, as the culprit. On Durkin Alley on Saturday, police arrested him.
Lagasse is accused of killing. The Monroe County District Attorney’s Office may bring further charges before a grand jury in the county.
On Sunday, Lagasse will be put on trial. Because of a, he is a level 3 sex offender.
