Body found near Blind Sodus Bay in Wayne County
Wolcott, New York — On Thursday afternoon, a body was found on the shoreline of Blind Sodus Bay in Wayne County.
According to New York State Police, troopers responded to the area of Ingersoll Drive after fishermen reported finding a body along the shoreline.
Authorities were unable to identify the person and said the body appeared to have been in the water for an extended period of time.
According to New York State Police, the body was taken to the Monroe County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.
