At a local hotspot, Rochester Eagles supporters celebrate their team’s Super Bowl triumph over the Chiefs

Rochester, New York – When the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 40–22 in Super Bowl LIX on Sunday, the Distillery on Mount Hope Avenue was crowded with green-clad fans.

It was Warren Sinclair’s 34th season in the pub, and it’s an Eagles spot. For years, he has been watching there with his buddies.

“It’s redemption Sunday,” Sinclair observed. “We’re gonna redeem our loss two years ago to the Chiefs and the Super Bowl, and we’re also going to avenge our loss in Super Bowl XV to the Raiders, which was at this very stadium.”

People in Bills country might rejoice when Kansas City failed to win the Super Bowl for the third time in a row.

“I’m rooting for Philadelphia even though I’m wearing my Buffalo gear,” Rochester resident Melanie Neth Diaz remarked. “Hopefully Saquan Barclay can just run all over the Chiefs tonight. I would love to see that happen. Somebody needs to take them down because I don’t know about you guys, but I’m having Kansas City fatigue.” Fans of the Eagles witnessed their team crush KC.

According to Rochester resident Brandon Clyburn, “I feel like, you know, we got everything that we need to get the job done,” “We have the unit. We have all the pieces. We have the defense.”

The Eagles gained their retribution by preventing the Chiefs from completing a three-peat.

It was a continuation of a tradition for Sinclair and his buddies.

“Always kept the faith, you know, kept up with the team,” Sinclair remarked. “I’ve made a lot of lifelong friends here. It’s been a big part of my life. I’ve spent over half my life in this bar.”
