A son of man killed in carjacking attempt injured in Farmington crash

Ontario County, New York – Earlier this week, New York State Police have confirmed that Richard Sciascia Jr. is one of the people seriously hurt in a crash in Ontario County.
Back in April, Sciascia’s father was shot and killed in a carjacking attempt in Gates.
According to police, alcohol played a role in Monday’s crash.
A 32-year-old, Jeffery Shinsing, from Canandaigua is charged with first-degree vehicular assault, DWI, and several traffic violations.
According to police, he was speeding on Route 33 when he rear-ended another vehicle.
Sciascia is in guarded condition.
