A Man is dead following shooting on Jefferson Avenue
Rochester, New York – Around 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, police were summoned to the junction of Iceland Park and Jefferson Avenue after receiving a report of a car accident and a shooting.
When the police came, they discovered a guy in his 50s with at least one upper body gunshot wound.
He was taken urgently to URMC, where he was declared dead not long after getting there.
According to police, it was discovered during the investigation that the victim was traveling south on Jefferson Avenue when his car collided with a parked/unoccupied car on the west curb.
At this point, it is unclear if the victim was shot before or after the car collision.
