Violent Easter Sunday morning in Rochester
Rochester, New York – As police report three incidents, two shootings, and one stabbing, taking place in the early morning hours, it was a violent Easter Sunday morning in Rochester.
According to Rochester Police, at approximately 1:45 a.m., they were called to Rochester General Hospital for the report of a walk-in stabbing victim.
The victim, a 35-year-old male city resident, suffered at least one stab wound to his upper body. The preliminary investigation suggests this crime occurred in the 100 block of Hague Street. The victim’s status is critical, but he is stable.
According to Rochester Police, at approximately 3:05 a.m., they found a 26-year-old male city resident shot at least once in the area of Harris and Athens Streets. The victim was transported to Strong Hospital, where he is currently being treated for serious but non-life-threatening, injuries.
At approximately 3:20 a.m., Rochester Police Officers responded to Strong Hospital for the report of a walk-in gunshot victim. Upon arrival, officers learned that a 30-year-old male city resident arrived at Strong with at least one gunshot wound to his upper body. The victim is currently being treated for serious but non-life-threatening, injuries. Police say the victim sustained his injuries on Hawley Street and was transported to the hospital via private vehicle.
There are no suspects in custody in any of these incidents, and they are all active investigations.
