Schuyler County to distribute COVID-19 rapid tests kits to residents

Schuyler County, New York – On Wednesday, January 26 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., or until all supplies have been claimed, Schuyler County will host an event to distribute COVID-19 rapid home test kits to residents.

“This is the second, and likely final, a batch of COVID test kits sent to us from the state for general distribution. The state allocated Schuyler County a limited number of test kits, and we will get them out as quickly and fairly as we can,” said County Administrator Fonda Chronis.

Tests will be distributed at the following locations:

Beaver Dams Fire Department
Mecklenburg Fire Department
Monterey Fire Department
Odessa Fire Department
Tyrone Fire Department
Valois Logan Hector Fire Department

Residents that cannot obtain test kits can go to the state rapid testing site in Walkins Glen to get tested for COVID-19.
