Rochester City Council considering $200 payment to employees who get vaccinated
Rochester, New York — In order to encourage city workers to get the COVID-19 vaccine, the city of Rochester could offer financial incentives.
Rochester City Council is considering a $200 payment to city workers who get a shot or booster before the end of June.
Those who have reported their status will be entered into a lottery to win more if city staff are 75% vaccinated before the end of January.
Rochester would pay for it with funding from the American Rescue Plan Act.
The City council will vote for the $350,000 proposal on Tuesday.
