Back to school giveaway before classes begin in Rochester

Rochester, New York — In order to make sure kids have the supplies they need before classes begin, Saturday, Lamb of Life Church of God in Christ hosted the back-to-school giveaway.

At the event, families were able to pick up some essentials like book bags, pencils, and other school supplies.

Cut Pros Barbershop was there doing free haircuts and hairstyles for more than 300 students.

“Parents have been so inundated with trying to educate their children at home, and now they got to get back into the swing of things,” said Charmaine Geeter. “So if we could be a help to them with giving backpacks full of school supplies. Whatever we can do to help them and to assist them and to get their kids back into school, we want to be a help to the parents.”

The event also featured live music performances and food box giveaways.
