Ithaca homicide under investigation

Ithaca, New York – According to Ithaca Police Department, during the early-morning hours officers were working a homicide investigation in the city.

Police say around 12:45 a.m. officers were called to the 200 block of Taughannock Boulevard for a male victim who was shot.

Upon arrival they found the victim suffering multiple gunshot wounds.

At this time the victim’s identity is not being released.

Police are asking motorists and pedestrians to avoid the area for the time being.

There were no updates on any potential suspects as of IPD’s initial release.
