Man’s body recovered from Canandaigua Lake
South Bristol, New York – A man’s body has been recovered from Canandaigua Lake around 10:30 a.m. Thursday.
According to Ontario County Sheriff’s deputies, first responders were called to the west side of Canandaigua Lake, around the area of Walton Point Drive.
The body of a man later identified as Eivind Rynning, 78, of Canandaigua was recovered from the water, they said.
At this point, the cause of death has not yet been determined, pending the completion of an autopsy.
According to deputies, the death does not appear to be suspicious in nature.
