Two men shot in separate incidents in Rochester
Rochester, New York – According to Rochester Police, two separate shooting incidents happened nearly an hour apart on opposite sides of the city Wednesday afternoon.
The first victim, a 28-year-old Rochester man was shot in a lower extremity and later was dropped off by private vehicle at Rochester General Hospital around 4:40 p.m. He is expected to recover, police say. The victim said he was shot near Ernst and North streets.
According to police, around 5:23 p.m., officers found an 18-year-old Greece man with at least one gunshot wound in his torso near Kirkland Road and Judson Street. He was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital by ambulance. His injuries are not considered life-threatening, police say. Officers say at least one other man confronted the victim before the shooting.
Police say the incidents are not related.
The investigations into both incidents are ongoing.
