Rochester Police: Murder investigation underway on Resolute Circle
Rochester, New York – A 52-year-old man was found dead on Monday morning after a stabbing incident at an apartment on Resolute Circle located between North Clinton and Seneca avenues.
According to Rochester Police, at approximately 5:00 am Guzman knocked on Morris’ apartment door and as soon Morris opened the door it is alleged that Guzman immediately stabbed him multiple times and then fled on foot.
Police arrived at the scene about 8 a.m.
Later, the suspect Evan Guzman was taken into custody on Clinton Ave.
It is believed Guzman and Morris know each other and this was an isolated incident.
According to police, Guzman was released from prison in April of this year for failing to register as a sex offender and assaulting a prison guard. The crime made him a Level 2 sex offender, the incident involved a child under the age of 13.
Guzman has been charged with Murder in the 2nd Degree and will be arraigned in Rochester City Court on July 6th.
