The suspect got away in Rochester after carjacking in Webster
Rochester, New York – Monday around 4 p.m. a man is accused of punching a woman and stealing her car in the Savers parking lot on Ridge Road in Webster.
According to police, a man tried to steal the woman’s keys in an attempt to steal her car, but when that failed he ran to the other end of the parking lot, punched a different woman threatening to kill her, and fled the scene with her car.
Later the suspect with the stolen car was identified in the city of Rochester but he got away when city police tried to arrest him, police said.
The investigation is ongoing. Webster police have not described the suspect yet.
