Greece student gets guitar lesson from Grammy-nominated guitarist
GREECE, N.Y. — A student from Greece, NY got a unique guitar lesson courtesy of a master of the blues Saturday.
Greece Arcadia senior Liam Worden received a free virtual guitar lesson from Grammy-nominated guitarist Joe Bonamassa and other members of the music industry.
He says being picked for the lesson validates his interest in music as a possible career.
“It means a lot, it definitely makes me think that I’m on the right path, that I’ve made the right decisions to get to my goal,” Worden said. “It means a lot, it definitely makes me think that I’m on the right path, that I’ve made the right decisions to get to my goal.”
Worden, who works at the House of Guitars part-time, got the lesson through Bonamassa’s Keeping the Blues Alive Foundation, which is working to aid musicians affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
