High-speed Internet provider Greenlight opens new headquarters in Henrietta
Henrietta, N.Y. – A building along in Henrietta will be home to the new headquarters of Greenlight Networks.
The high-speed Internet service provider company announced Tuesday that its new 20,000-square-foot facility will be on East Henrietta Road just north of the on-ramp to I-390 South.
With its new location, Greenlight committed to creating 93 new jobs. Empire State Development says the company currently employs 78 people – an increase from 53 one year ago.
Greenlight provides internet services in communities across our area using a fiber-optic network. In 2018, it was sold to a company owned by Paychex founder Tom Golisano, and has looked to expand its reach in the Rochester area. Last year, the company announced it’s aiming to be in 230,000 homes by 2022.
The development received assistance for the new headquarters through Empire State Development.
In a statement, Greenlight President and CEO Mark Murphy said, “Our company was founded in Rochester and continues to grow our headquarters and our network footprint here thanks to the breadth of experienced telecom and internet professionals in the region and the available talent pool being cultivated at area colleges and universities including the Rochester Institute of Technology, SUNY Geneseo, Monroe Community College and the University of Rochester. Contributing to our growth in this area is also the overwhelming support of our customers and increasing demand from prospective customers who need access to high speed internet now more than ever.”
