Rochester City School District superintendent could be on her way out
Rochester, New York — Rochester City School District students and staff may have a new leader when returning to the classroom.
At the end of her contract, Superintendent Lesli Myers-Small may be leaving.
The district, one of the five largest in the state, has had difficulty finding steady leadership.
In 2020, Myers-Small became superintendent and replaced Terry Dade, who left just 10 months into the job.
Dr. Myers-Small came to the district during the height of the pandemic, navigating remote learning, a multimillion-dollar deficit, and high-profile controversy involving teachers.
An independent investigation absolved her of sexual harassment allegations in December.
The state investigation is ongoing.
