230 new COVID-19 cases reported in Monroe County

Monroe County, New York – As of Thursday, Sept. 30, 2021, the Monroe County Department of Health has confirmed 1,406 people have died of COVID-19, and 77,595 positive cases have been recorded.

Of the 77,595 positive cases, 230 are new as of Wednesday.

The seven-day rolling average positivity rate, based on combined Antigen and PCR test results (New York State guidelines), is 3.9% as of Sept. 28 and 5.18% based on NAAT test results (CDC guidelines) as of Sept 27. The seven-day rolling average of new cases as of Thursday was 199 new cases per day.

As of Sept. 27, 205 people are hospitalized for COVID, 62 of whom are in the ICU

Genesee County

6,092 people have tested positive for the virus as of Tuesday, Sept. 28. Thirteen people are in the hospital. 131 people have died of coronavirus.

Livingston County

5,421 positive test results have come in as of Sept. 24. 51 people have died.

There are currently 106 active COVID-19 cases in the county.

57 percent of people living in Livingston County have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

5,264 people have resolved their cases.

Ontario County

8,720 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Ontario County as of Sept. 27, 2021.

Nineteen people are in the hospital.

116 people have died from the virus.

436 people are in quarantine or isolation. 8,374 have resolved their cases.

Orleans County

3,783 people have tested positive for the virus as of Tuesday, Sept. 28, according to county officials. 84 people have died of coronavirus. Three people are hospitalized.

Seneca County

2,768 people have been confirmed to have the virus in Seneca County as of Sept. 26. 74 people have died from coronavirus.

Eleven people are hospitalized with the virus. 195 people are under quarantine.

2,599 people have resolved their cases.

Steuben County

As of Sept. 28, there have been 8,740 confirmed cases, 420 of which are currently active.

204 have died from the virus.

Wayne County

6,828 positive cases have been confirmed as of Tuesday, Sept. 28. 315 cases are active.

28 new cases were announced Tuesday.

60 people have died after testing positive for COVID-19. 16 people are hospitalized.

6,453 of the patients have resolved their cases.

The county is no longer providing updates for the number of cases in a skilled nursing or adult care facilities, or the number of tests performed.

Wyoming County

3,619 people have tested positive for coronavirus as of Sept. 23.

Of those 3,619 patients, 916 are from the county’s northwest quadrant (Attica, Bennington, Orangeville, and Sheldon), 637 are from the southwest quadrant (Arcade, Eagle, Java, Wethersfield), 409 are from the southeast quadrant (Castile, Gainesville, Genesee Falls, and Pike), and 1,121 are from the northeast quadrant (Covington, Middlebury, Perry, and Warsaw).

536 of the patients are at New York State Department Corrections and Community Supervision facilities.

54 people died of the virus.

2,981 of the 3,083 patients outside of DOCCS facilities in the county have resolved their cases.

Three are in mandatory quarantine, and one is in mandatory isolation.

Yates County

1,528 cases have been confirmed as of Sept. 28. 37 cases are active.

Four people are currently hospitalized. 92 people are under quarantine.

25 people have died.
