New York – According to the senators’ proposal, teens would be allowed to receive the COVID-19 vaccine without parental consent.

The proposal would allow teens ages 14 and up to get the vaccine without their parents’ knowledge.

The vaccines that teens can get without parental knowledge must be required by law.

The anti-vaccination movement was listed in 2019 by the World Health Organization as one of the top threats to the health of the world.

The bill states, “These vaccinations must meet the standards approved by the United States Public Health Service, and be consistent with recommendations of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, or the New York State Department of Health under such conditions as may be specified by the Public Health Council.”
