Rochester, New York — On Saturday at East High School in Rochester, students, and their parents learned about healthcare from professionals who work in the industry.

The Rochester City School District’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) Department partnered with Rochester Regional Health in an event entitled “Scrubs Club.”

Students were able to take part in the activities that included blood pressure screening and learning about X-Rays, practicing CPR on life-size dolls, learning about first aid, and activities that include wound care, checking vital signs, and CPR.

Parents were able to participate in presentations given by Rochester Regional, too. They received information on how to get vaccinated for COVID-19 and were able to explore careers within the healthcare field.
