Young Entrepreneur Marketplace: Young people present their business ideas
Rochester, New York – At the Young Entrepreneur Marketplace on Saturday, more than fifteen enterprises founded and run by young people were on display.
The Golisano Institute for Business and Entrepreneurship hosted the event from 2-4 p.m.
The youth laborers had a practical experience while showcasing and pitching their business concepts to the neighborhood.
On the occasion, program participant Camden Smith was selling cakes.
“A large number of individuals are homeless and without a place to live, living on the streets.” Therefore, we need to learn how to make money and save money. The entrepreneur marketplace aims to teach us these skills, as well as how to start our own businesses and save money,” Smith stated.
This year marked the 12th year that the event, which aims to teach young entrepreneurs essential skills for their future, was organized in partnership with the Black Men Achieve Youth Mentorship Program.
