University of Rochester to go remote in January
Rochester, New York – According to the University of Rochester announcement, it plans to move to online classes for the month of January.
Exceptions are clinical classes in the schools of medicine and nursing.
According to the statement, students who are currently on campus may stay on campus.
Students who have not yet arrived on campus are advised to delay their return.
“Students who cannot change their plans for campus arrival will be accommodated but must shelter in place on arrival: our strong preference is for students to not return to campus at this time,” the statement mentions.
Dining and essential auxiliary and health services will continue to be available.
On Thursday, UR will provide more specific information.
