Sunday afternoon motorcycle crash in Gates was fatal for the rider, police say speeding was factor in the crash
Gates, New York – Sunday afternoon single-vehicle crash in Gates was fatal for one person, the local authorities confirmed.
According to the incident report, the crash happened around noon on Sunday on eastbound 531, just west of Manitou Road.
Motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene following the crash and police say the reason for the fatal crash was speeding. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
The victim was identified by the police as the 48-year-old Glenn A. Leary, of Ogden.
Part of the road was closed for several hours while authorities were conducting the investigation.
