Rochester school celebrates Anna Winterfest

Rochester, New York — Students and families from the Anna Murray-Douglass Academy School No. 12 spent one of the last days of Winter Break celebrating the Anna Winterfest.

Various activities such as sledding, skating, taking a nature walk, even curling was on the outdoor activity list.

State Senator Samra Brouk presented a recognition award to Dr. David Anderson, a renowned Frederick Douglass historian instrumental in renaming School No. 12 after Frederick Douglass’ wife.

Two School No. 12 students, Marville Atkinson and Noella Page were also presented with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Tribute Awards.
