Rochester-area catholic school recruiting students, offering all in-person classes
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — With so many parents scrambling to find in-person teaching options for their children, many private schools in the area have waiting lists.
But Archangel School, a non-diocesan catholic school in Gates, says it has room for as many as 50 more students and is actively recruiting.
“We have a large spacious building, very easily able to socially distance in the classroom and we have a whole plan in place for our scheduling and movement in the building to ensure proper distance,” Principal Amy Valentini said.
Archangel School is certified and has been around since 1992, serving students from pre-K through high school.
The school’s founder and benefactor Michael Macaluso passed away recently, and school officials are actively looking to expand their enrollment numbers.
“We have a proven track record of giving students a stellar academic foundation in a safe and concrete moral environment,” Valentini said. “We have the full deal and Archangel School is a hidden treasure.”
Tuition at Archangel School runs between $3,000 and $4,500 per school year.
