ROC ‘n Roll fundraiser hosted by Reconnect Rochester

Rochester, New York – On Sunday, the first annual ROC ‘n Roll fundraiser hosted by Reconnect Rochester took place.
The event welcomed all travelers, whether they rode a bike, skateboard, scooter, or more, with a 33-mile ride for more serious riders and an eight-mile route for families.
The rides featured a mix of road cycling, starting at Genesee Valley Park, bike paths, and boulevards that took participants through different towns and parts of the Rochester area.
The ride benefits Reconnect Rochester, a nonprofit organization that “envisions a Rochester community connected by a robust transportation network that makes it easier for everyone – regardless of physical or economic ability – to get around.”
The event’s name (ROC ‘n Roll) was inspired by the late Richard DeSarra, a long-time leader in the local biking community.
