Rep. Reed says agreement on second COVID-19 stimulus should be possible

Recently re-elected Congressman Tom Reed (R-23) says a pair of upcoming special elections in Georgia could play a big role in whether a second stimulus package will get passed now that Election Day is behind the U.S.
Right now there’s $400 billion that’s already available to be spent by Congress. However, that requires Congress coming to terms on how to spend it. That’s proven to be a little more complicated, but as Reed notes – those dollars have already been allocated for this kind of effort.
The Problem Solvers Caucus, which Reed leads attempted to get negotiators back to the table. Those efforts were unsuccessful, though.
“The Problem Solvers Caucus is going to rise up,” Reed told Finger Lakes News Radio. “We’re in a position to influence this agenda.”
