Over Memorial Day weekend, Honor Flight welcomes home veterans of Mission 83

Rochester, New York – This Memorial Day weekend, Honor Flight brought home Mission 83 veterans.
On Sunday, sixty-one veterans from four wars returned from Washington, DC, and were greeted with cheers by large crowds.
“This Honor Flight is a flight to honor your service and give you the welcome home that you may have never received,” said Corporal Timmy Ray Vaughn.
Corporal Vaughn urged veterans to maintain communication.
“I hope you will continue, and this was alluded to earlier, to try and keep bonding with veterans if you haven’t already planned to do so,” said Corporal Vaughn.
HFR will have flown nearly 42,000 veterans since 2008, including Mission 83, all of which were made possible by the kind donations of the local community.
