Monroe County Department of Health reports 398 new Covid-19 cases

Monroe County, N.Y. – On Thursday afternoon, Monroe County Department of Health officials reported no new deaths and 398 new Covid-19 cases. This brings the county to a total of 44,403 coronavirus cases and 841 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic.
The county’s positivity rate is now 6.1%, which is the lowest rate reported since last year, November 29.
727 people infected with the coronavirus are hospitalized in Finger Lakes region and 168 of them are treated in an ICU.
Health officials also stated that the region has now 33% available hospital capacity and 22% available ICU capacity.
