Giant Pride flag raised over MLK Jr. Park in Rochester
Rochester, New York — Local leaders raised a giant Pride flag over Martin Luther King Jr. Park in Rochester Friday evening in honor of Pride.
It’s all about celebrating people coming together and showing support and excitement for those in the LGBTQ+ community.
“To be able to see everyone here really just inspired and full of pride, there are so many people that are not here now that would be thrilled to see what’s happening now,” said Luane Haggerty and Mathew Parsely from Rochester.
Rochester Pride is one of New York State’s largest Pride festivals north of New York City.
